My name is Jamie Song, and I am an Assistant Professor of Strategy at ESMT Berlin.
My research explores a fundamental question in entrepreneurship: How do entrepreneurs influence the audience evaluation of their innovations? I am particularly interested in how entrepreneurs communicate the value of their innovations and how they leverage their social networks to influence their audiences.
I leverage a wealth of data on digital platforms such as Product Hunt, Twitter, Amazon, and Apple App Store and use novel computational linguistic approaches to explore my research questions. Overall, I am passionate about using machine learning methods to provide entrepreneurial organizations with insights on how to leverage digital relationships.
I received my Ph.D. in Management from INSEAD and my Bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked at Amazon.com. I am interested in all things tech.
