My name is Jamie Song, and I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Entrepreneurship Area at INSEAD. I am on the 2020 - 2021 academic job market.
My research explores a fundamental question in entrepreneurship: How do entrepreneurs communicate the value of their innovation to gain audience support?
To answer this question, I leverage a wealth of data on digital platforms such as Product Hunt, Twitter, Amazon, and Apple App Store and use novel computational linguistic approaches. My dissertation investigating how entrepreneurs communicate the value of their innovations in the age of digitization won the Strategy Research Foundation Dissertation Research Grant.
Overall, I am passionate about using machine learning methods to provide entrepreneurial organizations with insights on how to leverage digital relationships.
I earned my B.A. in Economics at Dartmouth College. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked at Amazon.com. I am interested in all things tech.
